6 Most Attractive Fish Species in the World

We know that most of the Earth’s surface is covered by oceans and fishes are the most amazing species that reside in the sea. Fishes are found in different shapes, sizes, and colors and there is so much diversity within the sea. Every year different types of fish species are discovered across the world. Here we are introducing a list of the top six most popular fishes in the world. 

1. Snailfish

Snail Fishes are mostly found in trenches, nearly 8,000 meters deep, and in the darkness. This is the reason these are called as one of the deepest-living fishes in the world. Snailfish has its own scientific name, Pseudoliparis Swirei; pale in color and due to this, its liver, stomach, and intestines can be clearly seen through its skin. Different types of snail fishes have been found in different trenches in the world.

2. Magma Fairy Wrasse

The scientific name of the Magma Fairy wrasse is  Cirrhilabrus Shutmani. Scientists found four different types of frisky specimens which are red in colors. It was discovered in the northern Philippines. Because these were found from the underwater rubble slopes of the living around Didicas Volcano in the Cagayan Islands, this species is called Magma wrasse.

3. Deep-Sea Anglerfish

Anglerfish or Oneirodes Sanjeevani is known for its peculiar look. This angry-looking, deep-sea anglerfish looks horrible and ugly because of its narrow head, giant mouth, and sharp teeth. It also has a tapering tail. Anglerfish are found in the Western Indian Ocean, between 380 and 600 meters deep. This creature resides in the lonely, lightless bottom of the sea. They have a short lure that is worn only by females.

4. Fire Goby

Fire Goby (Palatogobius Incendius) is an attractive little fish, known for its bright colors and active personality. These are deep water fish and mostly found on reefs of Curacao, from 100 to 200 meters deep.

5. Hoodwinker Sunfish

Hoodwinker sunfish known as Mola tecta belong to the family Molidae. These are called the largest bony field in the world and are identified for their unique shape and large body. These are found in the open ocean of tropical and temperate seas across the world.

6. Kaguya’s Dartfish

This is a fish of Japan that has moon-like spots on its dorsal fin and purple stripes all over the body. These are found on reefs in both Japan and the Philippines. Kaguya or Navigobious are also kept in home aquariums as they are colorful and gorgeous. It is also called Kaguyahime-haze in Japan named after prince Kaguya, a central character in an ancient Japanese folktale.
